Biography - Flutura & Besnik Haxhillari (The Two Gullivers)

Born in Albania, Flutura & Besnik Haxhillari (The Two Gullivers) studied visual arts in Tirana, Lausanne, Berlin and Montreal, UQAM. They presented their work at the Venice Biennale (1999), After the Wall Bahnohf Hamburger, Berlin (2000), the Beijing Biennale (2005), VIVA Art Action (2006, 2010) in Montreal, the 4th Biennial of drawing (2012) Museum of Fine arts in Mont-Saint-Hilaire etc.. They were part of Installation art in the new millennium (2003), East Art Map (2006). They also obtained grants from Council of Arts and Letters of Quebec, Canada Council for the Arts, the SSHRC and FQRSC. Besnik Haxhillari teaches performance and installation as a regular professor at UQTR.
