Since January 2017, the Gallery is organizing beyond the walls, various exhibitions and event projects in Canada and abroad.
Introducing the gallery
The Joyce Yahouda Gallery contributes to disseminating trends in contemporary art by exhibiting works created in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, performance, photography, installation, sculpture, video and the digital arts. Because it organizes performances, round tables and conferences, the gallery is renowned as a space for artistic convergence that enables a dialogue between artists, curators, collectors and art critics.
The Joyce Yahouda Gallery also collaborates in special projects with various organizations and arts festivals in Canada and abroad. The gallery also participates in Canadian and international fairs.
The Joyce Yahouda Gallery advises professionals who wish to discover contemporary art and invest in the market, while also offering an appraisal service.
Joyce Yahouda has served on the board of directors for the Contemporary Art Galleries Association (AGAC), the advisory committee for The Conseil des Arts de Montréal and the artist’s book acquisition committee for the Bibliothèque et Archives nationale du Québec. She currently serves on the art acquisition external committee at the Musée d’art de Joliette (MAJ) and is still active within Montreal’s Contemporary Art Galleries Association.
She was nominated for the award for gallery owner of the year at the Gala des Arts Visuels in 2011 and won the award in 2012.
