Biography - Patrick Dionne et Miki Gingras
Patrick Dionne and Miki Gingras live and work in Montréal.
Together, Patrick Dionne and Miki Gingras have been creating photographic works that are inspired by and reflect social realities, since 1999. They manipulate images with computers to create subjective worlds, which highlight the narrative power of photographic images.
In 2014, they participated in the Rencontres Internationales de la photographie [International photographic encounters] in Gaspésie and they exhibited at the Maison de la Culture Frontenac in Montreal.
In 2013, they exhibited at the Noorderlicht Photofestival in Groningen, Holland, then at the Espacio México gallery to mark 15 years of collaboration between the CALQ [Quebec arts and letters council] and the FONCA [National Fund for Culture and Arts]. They received 1st prize in the 18th Latin American photography competition in Colombia.
Since 2009, they have been creating photographic murals on the theme of Identity in the City of Montreal. They have over 40 exhibitions in Quebec, Canada and Latin America to their credit.
