HB # 2
In this exhibit, I wanted to present works that place themes of independence, liberty, marginality and even anarchy, at the forefront. For this reason, I chose the title, Électrons libres, a French expression that encapsulates these themes. In English, a potential translation would be, Free Thinkers. Be it in a physical or figurative sense, whether a particle or an individual, the free electron evolves with little attachment to its surroundings.

HB magazine was founded and produced by Joyce Yahouda Gallery, ARPRIM, articule, AXENÉO7, Centre CLARK and Galerie SAW Gallery. The first issue offers a selection of works by: Shuvinai Ashoona, Elmyna Bouchard, Josée Dubeau, Patrice Duhamel, Michelle Furlong, Kim Kielhofner, Martin Lord, François Morelli, Adrian Norvid, Marigold Santos, Matt Shane, Winnie Truong, Balint Zsako HB is an ambitious collaborative project focusing on the dissemination and promotion of drawing practices. HB is a magazine, a gallery on paper, a platform—a dynamic space dedicated to contemporary drawing. Structured so that each page threads together a set of visual sequences, HB is a space for exchange that gives precedence to imagery over text.
