“And now the critic thinks he is an artist! We will have seen it all…

Come and see the critic who has been pissing you off for years with his texts and unbearable tone, fall flat on his face. For his first attempt at creation, critic, curator and professor Nicolas Mavrikakis presents Why I Am the Way I Am.

To very briefly sum up this piece, let us say that, as well as submitting himself to the art world’s prosecution, he is also offering up his own mother. If you would like to know more, you will have to meet with the piece by making an appointment, either by phone (514-875-2323) or by stopping by the gallery.

Whether the piece is a hit or a miss, you will be happy!

The piece features a story refined over the generations since 1889, the date of birth of the critic-curator-professor-wannabe artist’s grandfather.”

To fully benefit from the exhibition, Joyce Yahouda Gallery invites you to experience it in two steps:

  • Participative meeting with the mother of the artist:

15-minutes meeting on Wednesday June 20Th, Thursday June 21Th and Friday June 22nd, between 2-5 p.m. Book you reservation by phone at 514 875 2323 or in person at the Gallery.

  • Closure of the exhibition with the artist in stage:

Saturday June 23Th, from 2-4 p.m.
